    So what? The fuel surcharges are still there, and even increasing now. Neither the US government, nor the EU is doing anything about it.

    The article / case / convictions were not that fuel surcharges themselves per se were criminal. It was that the way they were being charged (i.e. in collusion) was wrong.

    No one likes fuel surcharges, but they'll probably be here to stay. Whether they manifest themselves as YQ or as a Q integrated charge - all the same.

    As for whether you'll get your money back, well......keep dreaming (or start another law suit). What would be interesting to know is what will the authorities do with all the punitive money collected from the convicted airlines.
