Longest I've ever done was EWR-BOM... I could do EWR-HKG anytime I wanted though.

Longest in a single day of continuous flights that I've done: ITM-NRT-JFK-LAX-SFO-PDX.

Longest single flight I've done under the same flight number: SIN-JFK via FRA or is SIN-SFO via HKG longer? I've also done SIN-LAX via NRT before..

On SQ's route map, the longest routes also include: SIN-DME-IAH and SIN-BCN-GRU.

Mine was ICT-DEN-LAX-HNL-NAN-SYD-MEL-PER, though it wasn't still the same 'single day' in Perth when I got there! Ugh.

Before this trip, I think NRT-LAX had been my longest single routing.

Funniest part (in hindsight) of that ICT-DEN-LAX-HNL-NAN-SYD-MEL-PER routing is once we got to SYD and had missed the MEL connection, a 12-year-old kid on the same flight (flying home to see his parents in the U.S. diplomatic service in Australia) saw me pull my CO Presidents Club (reciprocal with QF lounge) card out of my wallet, and said "hey mister, can I be your 'son' for a few hours and go in with you during the layover?" Would have been okay if he, like me, had wanted to just snooze in there, but no, he insisted on playing cards the whole time :)

    I can't do a trip like that.. :p

I've already felt very uncomfortable about that long trip since none of the UA lounges has showers.. I felt filthy by the end of my last flight.

Not to mention VERY knowledgeable about Frequently Flying.. :D

Maybe its our future that we're seeing blossoming all around.. ;)

It is not the length of your journey, it is the destination that is the issue! Be safe.

Although I've had more at risk moments with buses in London than moments in Kabul...at least thus far.

I would love to do LAX-SIN or EWR-SIN ... and after my first EK flights last month, LAX-DXB if it's all the way in the front.

This is how you know you're a FF nerd, when you actually look forward to über long flights.

Or, more like that's how you know you're in the front of the plane, when you actually look forward to those long flights, lol! Folks in coach want as short a flight as possible. :p

My longest non-stop flight was IAD-JNB.

Sent from my iPhone using milepoint

I wouldn't mind LAX-SIN or EWR-SIN in the back of the plane! :D

My longest was ATL-CPT (8130 miles) on SA. Return was JNB-CPT (fuel stop + loading more pax) -FLL (fuel stop) -ATL. In coach. I still have the Sky Pesos we earned. And the replacement t-shirt I bought in ATL before continuing on to SFO :D

What aircraft did SA fly? Would be weird to see a huge aircraft at FLL... was it a scheduled stop?

I did ATL-BOM-ATL (8510 one-way) and no fuel-stop needed on that on the DL 77L. But that's a much different routing.

I try to throw in an overnight whoever I or we can spare the time, to be able to sleep in a bed, in private, without clothes, have a private (and clean bathroom), and if I'm really lucky, a pool long enough to swim a few laps.

I'm looking at an ex-JNB DONE4 status run for next year, trying to maximize miles, minimize days off work, have at least a full day or two at some great places, take enjoyable flights that are comfy and have lots of nooks for storing in-flight stuff and avoid climb-over or be-climbed-over. And not spend too much. The base DONEx fares are one thing, but the BA fuel surcharge are another! $75o in "additional surcharges "

So, reading your routings, I suppose lax-lhr-mad-tlv is no prob; lax-lhr-jnb is an award and can't have an overnight.

I too could handle EWR-SIN, since that's an all biz class flight. :) Is the LAX-SIN flight you referred to also all biz?

Affirmative. SQ now has all-biz class on its nonstop a340-500s between Sinagapore and Newark and Singapore and Los Angeles. I think I read someplace, but do not see now, that the choice to go J rather than F or P was at least in part because of the extra weight that would be involved in first-class seating and cabin furnishings.

OK cool, thanks. Longest I've ever flown non-stop was 14 hrs from LAX-SYD, and then a few 13 hr flights. One of these days I'm going to take that EWR-SIN flight and see what that's like.

Currently, yes, though they've been reportedly considering putting some Y seats back in that plane. I did EWR-SIN in March and it was a VERY long trip. Lots of fun, but 19 hours on a plane really is a long time.

    I've also done LAX-BKK, SFO-SYD, EWR-HKG/DEL and LAX-HKG.
