this list is both for USA-based airlines and international

    http://qz.com/331750/the-worlds-in-flight-wi-fi-offerings-ranked/

the only one I have used was on the Emirates A380 and it is good it only costs $1 because it was quite slow on the several occasions I used it

I always kind of liked being away from the computer + smart phone when on an airplane but in flight wi-fi can be convenient when you are busy with work or last minute travel research or hotel / rental car bookings

The articles are nice starting points for wifi info. What we need is a spread sheet laying out cost, coverage, speed, Pricing info would be nice, but I believe that most consumers of inflight wifi either are working and "need" it or want it and don't care about costs.
