    The problem (regardless of moral / ethical / political dilemmas that arise from this) would of course be communication. Shooting down a plane has never been a difficult task, but the problem of course is identifying the threat, determining its validity then making the decision.

    Then of course there's the human factor... even fighter pilots which are trained for this sort of thing might have a hard time pulling the trigger (maybe), but the alternative (Skynet and taking the human factor out of the equation) is equally horrific.
