While some airlines are splurging for top chefs and decadent in-flight meals to attract customers, the reality is that most airline food tastes as good as the wing of the Boeing 747 would. While airline chefs readily admit the challenges and defeats of preparing in-flight meals, some recently shared their recommendations of what tastes best mid-air. Read on to learn what to order when the flight attendant stops at your row on your next flght.

Cardboard? Cuz that's what airline food tastes like, and always has. Cardboard. Now you have to pay $$ for it, when, back in the day, Cardboard came with the price of the ticket. But then, so did luggage.

You don't have to eat at a hospital cafeteria for lunch. I swear they're trying to ensure repeat business at my lab. Not that airline food is great, but it's acceptable. My standards are lower in the air.

I've mentioned this before...I'm generally happy with the salads with chicken DL introduced in Y on TATL (and international) flights. Not the best in the world, but more edible than some of the other entrees they put out there!
