Friday is Credit day!
Yes! Reminded me to make some loans with existing credits before all of the "good ones" are gone. (OK... everyone's definition of a good one is different.)
Hit $100k attributed to the InsideFlyer team today
That's a lot of lives improved!
Today I broke 8,000 loans made and see that sometime recently I broke $200k lent! 1.54% default rate, 0.43% currency loss, $23.94k was refunded from expiring.
Change from Dec 29, 2017 – added 1000 loans and $26k lent, default rate up 0.02%, currency loss down 0.05%, and amount refunded and expired up $2.25k.
What is odd is based on the amount lent I should be at something like 8,300 loans. I don’t' know if the stats are wrong or if I made larger loans in the past? I might have duped up on some loans using Kivelens.org but still it seems odd…
It's easy to make duplicate loans without noticing. I've certainly done that. And occasionally I deliberately put in $50 or $100 on a single loan, or fully fund a whole loan. So stats can get skewed.
Either way, congratulations on the 8000 plateau!
Yep -- I sometimes do loans $100 at a time and sometimes I fully fund loans. I also seem to remember @iolaire mentioning a while ago that KivaLens was inadvertently multiloaning. Not that it's a bad thing!
I would have about 800 more loans if I only did $25 at a time. Yet I know quite a few of us loaded up on Julia's loan at the Kiva Do, too!
I'm loaning about every two months now and I think that has been minimized. I also stopped lending on expiring loans (a year or two ago) so I don't get many unfunded loans - which is good. Still going for shorter term loans that are under a year.
$25 promo credit under Small Loans, Big Impact. Repayments on the $25 bonus goes back to the Donor Advised Fund.
Oooh … the $25 from Paypal is available immediately after funding a loan, so I used it to pick up a new activity!
Thanks, able to make two loans immediately. I used the bonus credit to finish a loan off... I think this is the first chance I've gotten to be the "last lender".
Anyone want to join me on this one? It has been a while since we did a crowd loan...
19-days left, and I also posted into KLT as it fits the bill.
Las Vecinas Group, as part of the Centro Focal Copacabana, is made up of 10 members and is directed by a board of directors where Mary is the president.
The loan that they will get will benefit small micro-entrepreneurs and fellow neighbors like Mary, 29 years old. Currently, she has a neighborhood store business. She states that she learned how to run this business through her own initiative five years ago.
Joined, thanks, iolaire
Credits are just hours away!
