Not sure if this has been posted, but the all-new United Shop is open. There are some great things in there (especially if you're looking for a Christmas gift for me ;) ).

Hmmmm. I've never been a fan of paying to advertise somebody else's company.

I'm happy to wear clothing with the United logo on it, but only if they give it to me. I'm also happy to accept sponsorships. ;)

I was hoping to find Toothpick Holders aka Shot glasses under the Drinkware section...

But in all seriousness, the soft shell jacket looks nice!

That's how I feel about it. My employer has a store similar to this, and there is no way in hell I'd buy something there to wear myself (maybe as a gift for family). Certainly I am not going to buy United logo wear.

And yes, I am willing to sell advertising on my car. It drives around daily in a key United market and creates an impression of reliability, efficiency, and green-ness. PM me for details ;)

Honestly, who is the targeted customer for this $50 piece?[IMG]

I think the vast majority of these products are actually designed and made to be given away by United to valuable customers or prospects. The items they manage to sell on top of that are just gravy. If your corporate travel department has a contract with United, have a look at the travel manager's wrist ;)

Those would be the RCC-size wine glasses, not yet in stock, most suitable for vintages whose aromas you don't really want to savor. ;)

I agree. But I'm sure I could still make some money setting up a store with apparel for the Human Fund...

Really...I'm sure UA could afford to give one of these to their Global Services and 1K Premier Executives as a token of appreciation for re-qualification...

Having the default item sorting be by item number is about what I expect from an organization who leads its weather reports with wind speed and direction.

I also like that they haven't taken the time to customize all the item descriptions (emphasis mine):
"Ultra thin wired, pocket-size, elliptical mouse. LED white light illuminates your logo."

I find the United Shop and similar endeavors to be a personal irritant (in other words, it chap's my arse, as you might say, in these parts). I'm used to receiving little trinkets from various airlines as a token of appreciation for my business - Emirates carriage clocks, PIA onyx marble figurines, Etihad Parker pen sets, calendar from SQ every now and then... but having to pay for what can only charitably be termed, rubbish, so that one can display said rubbish in public is slightly outside the scope of my contract with society. As someone said above, would it kill United to send a few luggage tags our way? apparently, it would.

My favorite was a Swiss Army knife from SQ on-board a flight to NY post 9-11.
