    Hi all!

I am an active Trio Reporter, although I haven't yet posted any here, I hope to soon.

I think that a good idea would be to like posts of a trip report. That would be a great reward for those who have spent the time to write one.

    Whatdo you think?

Definitely! I know I've never done a TR, but this incentive might make me do so. ;)

I think this is an interesting method of post padding:eek: But why wait nearly
    half an hour between dupes?

Anyhow, as the system goes, like what you like.

As a writer of a few trip reports (okay lots), I value feedback. It helps me improve the next report.

I really like the idea. I love reading trip reports and people put a lot of effort into it. They deserve some recognition in my opinion.

Likes are more important than quantities of posts here, so it is important to "like" a post with quality content. That is one of the main things that will help this site grow and endure.

I have always liked to read trip reports, some in fact have influenced my holiday destinations.
I first flew SQ because of some food photographs on a forum. It shows how easily I can be led astray. [IMG]

I agree, the liking system is a great way of rewarding those who write reports. So far what I see as one of the big pluses over FT.

I agree. Some trip reports must take forever to write and it would be nice to be able to recognise the authors for their efforts. I could never write one though - wouldn't have a clue where to start or what to write about [IMG]

Oh eightblack you are so modest!
Love to read your reports. Truly they are a great source of humor and escape into your world. Keep 'em coming.

Agree there is some time spent trip reports. I only seem to find the time to produce one about every 3 years. Lat summer met seat2a up at Denali estimate that he had posted over one half million words for all his reports created on FT. Sometimes we just do them for the thanks and the ability to pass on our information.

Others times, perhaps my reports, it is the internet version for coming over and watching my slide show for my summer vacation and I really expect no likes or dislikes.

As someone who has written the odd TR, I think the "like" feature is cute. But that's about all. I receive far more pleasure from the comments - it means that the people who spent their time reading the report gave up their time to engage with you.
