    What's that about? I like the fact that my S3 has a standard mini-usb, I already had several such cables (blueteeth headsets, etc. use it).

    Samsung forgot a couple of things:

    1. The G S3 works great if you loose your canoe oar and need to paddle safely to shore

    2. The profit of the G S3 will for the next two years go directly to Apple as a penalty for stealing technology

    3. No matter how many cheap shots they take, they will still be blown out of the water by the iPhone 5 sales

    Oh, and they forgot about 15 major advantages the iPhone has over the G S3...

    Mini USBs may still require you to carry more than one charger and is far from standardized.

    My mifi has the same mini USB plug as my Samsung droid demo phone at work, but the chargers don't work on both devices as the voltage is different.

    Funny how Apple used to be the counter-culture device. BTW, I'm an AAPL kind of guy since 1991. $700/share speaks pretty loudly.

    So far I've found a short cable adapter always works, I have several ranging from 8" to about 18".

    On the news they showed people camped out at the apple store in NY five days in advance to be the first to get an i5. If that ain't a mind control cult thing, I don't know what is. :p

    droid = open source w/ homebrew mods. most any 4g droid phone wins due to this.

    1. I was reluctant to go with the S3 at first, due to the size, but it is actually unobtrusive, doesn't fee any bigger than my previous phone even though it is. In addition, thanks to having it I carry my laptop much less often, so the net schlep factor is extremely favorable.

    2. Subject to appeal, and also to be contradicted by other cases in other venues, some of which Apple will lose. By the time this stuff finishes dragging out it will be much reduced and relative mute.

    The S4 is rumored to be coming out next February. Going FURTHER ahead of the game? My wife is ditching Apple and going to the S3, and also ditching the iPad (original) and going for either the 7" Galaxy Tab 2 or Nexus 7. I had no influence over her either.

    I'm definitely hesitant due to that reason. I thought my old Droid X was big at a 4.3" screen. As the screens approach 5", it turns me off to these new Droids since I also have a Nexus 7 whose form factor I love.

    I guess I should just get some hands on time with these new 4.8" screen droids. How's the actual battery life on the S3?

    Yeah and now they are acting like ATT in the 80s by attempting to squash any and all competion.
    I could name you a myriad of stocks that were in the multiples of 100s not too long ago which have no value now.:)
