I've been getting this message a bit when navigating and posting for the past hour.

Several attempts to get this to post.

I'm guessing there is some maintenance being done at the moment while it is middle of the night in USA, hence slower response and timeouts.

I've been getting something similar. The servers completely stop responding to one browser session, but a fresh browser session (not just a new window) is responded to as quickly as normal.

    Some experimenting - doesn't like having more than 1 or 2 tabs/windows open :(

Oh, so that's it! The error disappears when I don't use tabbed browsing. (Although that's mostly not okay, as tabbed browsing is how I navigate every forum.)

Some unscientific observation suggests that the problem is most likely to happen when you're waiting for a response in one tab/window, and request a different page in a different tab/window before the first page has delivered. The site then stops delivering content to both tabs/windows.

I've had it happen several times this afternoon, and that's even while taking care to use no more than three windows.

It also occurred for me this afternoon- perhaps too much traffic?

I'm seeing fairly frequent timeouts now, most often when hitting Reply (or other JavaScript buttons/links), but also sometimes when loading a page. I think we're increasing the traffic faster than the dev team expected!

Hmm.. I will leave to the experts to figure out what is going on this afternoon- and I agree with you that traffic is growing extremely fast for a beta site (I am guessing- no idea except for seeing the number of members/posts grow)- in terms of giving feedback I am seeing the same thing you are. Good luck development team!
