Just like the real Board Room... come on in, grab a comfy chair, and chat about whatever you'd like. I'm pretty sure the pancake machine will be here shortly [IMG]

The pancake machine is just awesome. Really makes a decent pancake in the morning.

If only the Board Room agents could handle ticketing issues during irrops instead of sending folks to customer service desk outside the board room, around the corner..

We get a free Priority Pass with our fancy AMEX card and that give us access to The Board Room, but I have never seen the pancake machine. Usually when we fly Alaska we arrive at the airport just about the time the plane is boarding. [IMG] Someday that with bite us on the bottom.

Actually Punki I think you have the right idea.

If you've never missed a flight, you're wasting way too much of your life in airports.

Planning to NEVER miss a flight, just add up all that time and think of what you can do with it in life. So I rather agree with your approach...

But the pancake machine IS nice.

I'm pretty sure the pancake machine is located upstairs at the SEA BR. At PDX it's right next to the food service window. I just had my first pancakes last week. The machine cooks them up and spits 'em out with considerable alacrity, and while the cakes aren't quite restaurant quality, they're a hot and welcome treat in the morning.

Kudos to the Seattle Boardroom for serving some of the best beer I've ever had.
It's called Manny's Ale and is brewed at the locally owned and operated Georgetown Brewing Company.
It's only available in kegs and growlers sold at the brewery or by the pint glass at discerning establishments.
At the Boardroom, it is available upstairs only.

I had that on my first visit to the Seattle BR. I have a lengthy layover in Seattle on Sunday, so I'm looking forward to finally getting to experience the pancake machine (have never been there in the morning) as well as having some fine beers.

Hello Board Room folks. I always enjoy my visits. Anyone heard more about the rumors of a deeper AA/AS relationship that includes BR/AC reciprocity?

I hope so. SEA with no AC is a barren wasteland.

Although we have cut it very close, we have never missed an originating flight, only connections, usually in SFO due to a delayed landing.

Praise God for the elite security lines, when they work. Flying out of Phoenix a couple of weeks ago the security was so slow that they were calling our names as we approached the gate. I must say that Alaska is pretty good about looking for missing passengers, at least in first.

I think that an AC/BR reciprocal agreement is a fine idea in concept, but the BR is already packed pretty much every am and it's nearly impossible to find a seat. If they really build another BR out at the barren wasteland of the N terminal, then perhaps the pressure on the D club will lessen. FWIW, I also have an AC membership and so I feel your pain, but I also have a BR membership and I would like to not wait 45 minutes for my delicious English muffin to toast.

I always swing by for pancakes in the morning, even if I'm flying someone else.

We generally get 20-30 minutes in the SEA Board Room since I leave plenty of time to fight with the TSA. The thing that gets me is the sheer number of different employees they have working the desk. I've been coming there 40 times a year for the last eight years and they still don't recognize me.
