The soon to come A350-1000 is to be a direct competitor for the B777-300, with new intrigue once the B777X arrives. The head of Emirates thinks the B777x will kill the B747-8 that just entered service, while the A350-800 should compete with the larger B787 models, but it do far has had few orders. 'Course if Tom Enders is correct Airbus will have a few hundred new A350 orders this week at the Paris Air Show.
