Which hotel provides the better location for first time visitors to Bangkok who have just three days to explore the city -- the W or the St. Regis?
The St. Regis has a direct connection from its second floor to Ratchdamri BTS station (elevated monorail system) placing most of the city at your fingertips:
While you have to go through Sathorn Square to get to the W Hotel Bangkok from the Chong Nonsi BTS station: Further, and although the Chong Nonsi area is nice and upcoming, the Ratchdamri/Ratchaprssong area where the St. Regis located is the heart of Bangkok with walking distance to the Erawan Shrine, major shopping, restaurants, and hotels, see here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalboz/6666748731

Centara prepares to open 5-star hotel in Pattaya’s Beverly Hills district
Has anyone stayed here? Thinking of staying in August - they have good rates so would appreciate opinions
What did you say? ... can't hear you!
Sorry - somehow my question got put in the middle of your original post - I've corrected it now - to ask if anyone has stayed here
Great rates of THB 2,117 per night in a suite including many benefits, such as breakfast, WIFI, etc. And the locations isn't bad either. But you might want to consider a different option as Centara is opening a new property (Centra Central Station) on July 15th adjacent to Chinatown and Hualamphong train station: Centara opens new hotel in Bangkok location where culture, sights and fabulous food meet
