    STR Global Asia/Pacific results for March in the meantime found that RevPAR at hotels in Asia Pacific were down 6.2%; Thailand up 23.9% :

    These results reflect a certain trend towards secluded luxury [more private hideaways] in far flung locations somewhat away from large cities IMHO, this would/could be one of the reasons why Bangkok properties didn't make list this time around, of course overall there was a decline in urban locations on the Top 100 list this year.
