Inaugural Flight to FRA with flights to CDG and LHR from BKK.
They will use this instead of the 77W?
Also, what of local intra-Asia flights to get the crew(s) acclimated?
Not sure with the intra-Asia flights.
I'm assuming they will use the 380 instead of 77W. This is according to an airlineroute.net article I read at:
Considering the time frame in which they'll be receiving the A380 it might well be toward the end of the lease for the 77Ws.
Nice dreams... Airbus is behind with deliveries, TG's financial situation is far from good... I do not see A380 in TG livery a foreseeable reality...
QF is still waiting on QUITE a few I recall?
Thought I saw half the QF fleet at LAX the other day! But TG is talking the end of 2012 which is more than a year away for the first route (FRA) and likely a lot longer for LHR and CDG.
TG will take delivery of 380s in August, September/October and December/January 2012/13 if Airbus delivers as promised. I don`t agree with your thoughts on TG financial health, TG has been in the green for much of the last decade and has only dipped into the red in the last quarters (do to high fuel prices).
I don`t see FRA as their first destination. My guess is that LHR will be first, after SIN, HKG and KUL for crew training
Want to put a bet on this?
But of course
I bet you 100 Euro that TG (Airbus delay not counting) will fly their 380 to LHR/FRA in 2012
How many A380 did TG order?
They just ordered 6 planes, so daily flights to FRA, LHR and perhaps SYD/NRT is all they got 380`s for.
