    Hi,
I need to get from CDG to Lyon. Can I buy the ticket when I arrive?
There is no advantage now at this late stage (leaving in a few days) to get cheapy advanced fares.
Cost is 94 euros so if I'm delayed (flying into CDG) then the ticket is forfeited even if I pay a few more euros now.
Is the cost way more expensive if purchased in person at CDG?
    Thanks in advance.

If you're traveling (especially toward Paris or north in general) at the end of August, you risk being caught in the annual post-vacation French migration. In the south to north direction, there will be no train tickets that can be purchased at any price, especially for the all-reserved-seat or reservation only trains. In this case, buy the ticket ASAP while there may still be a chance of getting space on the train.

The OP will be traveling north to south. Does that mean it's better to buy at the station, and not risk a wasted ticket?
