I just finished booking a SkyMiles ticket to Thailand on Korean Air (woohoo!). Agent #1 books Korean segments on dates I didn't really want, holds the itinerary for 3 days. Agent #2 books correct Korean segments and holds for 5 days. Agent #3 adds domestic segments and doesn't touch the hold. Agent #4 finalizes the domestic segments, says (I'm not kidding) "now you're playing by my rules", and sets the hold to 1 day. I ask her for longer so I can do a transfer and she reluctantly bumps it to 2 days muttering something about "the rules" under her breath. Argh! What kind of holds are others getting? Is it reasonable to ask for more time to complete a CC points transfer?
