They screw that up all the time. It's so weird. Sometimes F is cheaper than Y. *shrug*

Saw something interesting today. I was at payment page on a DL itinerary and a little callout box on the "do you want to buy trip insurance" plus-up said excitedly, "49,971 people in the last 7 days have bought this!" Which made me go to the BTS database. And if we figure that the average domestic airfare is about $350, the insurance cost for which would be about $25, that means they are pulling down 1.1 million dollars a WEEK.

5% relative humidity at SAN right now. Winds are picking up and SAN is mostly using runway 9 when they can. Local power company's starting to turn off power in remote areas so to avoid fires from potential downed lines and transformer issues.

My flight gets into ATL at 4pm tomorrow, and it is supposed to be snowing in ATL then. I just got an email from Delta issuing travel waivers. It is supposed to snow most of the day. (We will see if it actually does.) Should I change my flight out of BOS to get in earlier?

Also, something is wrong when it snows in Atlanta before it snows in Bost:eek:n.

I suspect BOS can handle snow better than ATL.

Something is fundamentally wrong when it's snowing in FST and PDS(MMPG), but not DEN.

On Monday, it was 85F. We had record high temps for the high and the low on that day. Now, it is snowing in the River City.

Only thing bad so far nearby is the Lilac Fire near Fallbrook, so it's a bit away from the metro San Diego area. However, that could do some serious damage up there as it's largely unburned brush and not a lot stopping it right now.

Not too bad in Atlanta tonight but tomorrow's forecast is for snow all day with temps in the low 30's. Let us not hope that there is as much as an inch of snow which is all it takes to trigger a "Snowmaggedon" around here and close all the roads and airports for days.

Delta early in the day had issued a weather waiver for tomorrow.

Please take note that the Uber and Lyft drivers around Atlanta are completely void of location or directional knowledge. On the way out, the Uber driver could not find the hotel and canceled out and on the way back the driver could not find the restaurant where we were waiting and also canceled us.

I gave Uber a second chance on the first trip but went right over to Lyft on the second. The Lyft driver found the restaurant with no trouble but this good old boy could not tell south from north and had us halfway to the airport by the time I woke up from checking the e-mail. I just turned him around and gave him the directions that I remembered from the drive up yesterday.

Doesn't he know that in this town, everybody lives to the north?
