"The Trent XWB continued its strong success with a $2.2bn order from TAM Airlines for engines to power 27 Airbus A350-XWBs, along with TotalCare® long-term support services."

There has been so much attention regarding the A320NEO that few have noticed things that would have een majro news a few weeks ago. TAM will use the A350's for international route expansion, with the replacement of A330's and the Boeing long-range fleet also in planning. The intention is to operate only one long-range type, the A350, according to well-informed sources.
