    Complaint - is what the title should read

    BTW, I Never got a response to my email.....

    Just flew TAM again to get the family to Salvador for a few days in the sun... TAM's short-haul service looks more and more like a discounted Jet Blue. Almost non existent "catering" for a 2.5 hour flight... no blankets, no pillows, you have to ask for headphones for 5 times and get 1 set for a family of four...... what a nightmare.

    Most all the FA's didn't have a very good attitude... lots of chatting amongst themselves, nobody seemed to care much about what they were doing.

    As Ive said before, I really wonder if the boys at LAN know what they have gotten themselves into.... :eek:

    IMHO they probably do. LAN is at least as bad as TAM, and for cancellations IRROPS IME LAN is even worse. Remember LAN emulates BA for customer service, so service quality is inversely proportional to value of a specific customer. TAM is trying hard to emulate them both, so non-response is a beginning, but they do need to be more aggressive, as in "...your request is denied. You are ineligible for any compensation or reconsideration." Sadly, TAM has not yet learned the value of a condescending supercilious dismissive response. They still think non-response is good enough. They'll learn in time, I suspect.:rolleyes:

    BA doesn't take care of its best customers...??? wow, Ive never been a serious BA flyer so I guess this does come as a surprise.....

    Long stories. The BA board in TOBB is full of BA loyalists (to me: "...you're obviously not a frequent flyer. Otherwise you'd know...") as well as diehard hate BA types (I'm not one, but I'm close).
    Mostly the stories are about IIROPS and LHR/LGW but there are many of them.

    TAM is getting worse and worse I agree.. I waited on the phone for 2 hours to change my flight and had to pay US$200 for that!! ABSURD!!
    American Airlines is the best customer service and mileage program for me.. always have tickets available for fair points and no charges if u need to change! TAM, on the other hand is the worst! always a nightmare to talk to them, rarely has tickets available for fair points.. most of time its like over 100 thousand points to travel from Rio de Janeiro to Mia or NYC.. for example.. Had to let it out! so frustrating....

    I would also appreciate if someone gave me an email address to write and report to TAM how bad they have become! I could not believe the flight I had on the 21st of April - Sao Paulo - Frankfurt, which was the last on a row of bad flights I have had in the last 2 years!!!

    Flight attendants addressed passengers in Portuguese and that was it! Most of the passengers were foreigners on that night. As I told one of them that the passengers sitting next to me didn't speak Portuguese and that they should speak English, that particular FA replied that TAM did not require their FAs to speak a foreign language. Right, on a international flight; I was in dismay! Here we started with the bad attitude and bad understanding of 'global services'!
    The food was terrible: cold pasta, old tastless salad, cheap quality, slow service, too much talk amongst FAs and unfriendly interaction with passengers. I could not eat breakfast, so very bad the eggs with whaterver, no bread rolls like in the past, tasteless fruit.
    I have been flying TAM for 13 years and well know the old days and better times of the airline! The quality and service have dropped tremendously!
    I would definitely avoid flying this airline in the future, and we are a family of three!

    I agree! It's a nightmare trying to contact TAM. They will hold you for the long minutes, when not hour to assist you. It can get very expensive!

    I fly TAM quite a lot in Brazil (+40 flights this year) and I can assure you that they are the worst company flying right now. I´m a RED fidelidade and ´I´m giving up their loyalty program. Tam has no space between seats (even GOL took out rows of seats to get some more room). There is no inflight entertainment (Azul has individual live TV and Avianca has individual screens) and the food on TAM is a joke. I´m used to get 3+ flights that you get a bag of toasted bred and a choice of water or coke.

    As I´m a BA gold member and flying TAM is the only option to get tier points in Brazil, I will keep flying with them, altought I know they are getting farther and farther away from the competition.
