obviously putting any voided warranty issues aside, has anyone replaced the synthetic motor oil in their car's engine with 'traditional' motor oil? (I've read a few blogs which state as long as the new oil is the same viscosity as the synthetic, that all will be fine.)

    Has anyone made done this?

I have done it twice with no problem. Both cars were vary new. I don't know what might happen if the car were old.

good to know, thanks. I'll talk with my mechanic, the car is older and some of the blogs mentioned the seals expand more with synthetic so if one was to go to regular, there may be oil leaks.

My goal is to save money, what was yours?
