Switching Airline Earning Partners After Booking?

    A week ago I went to the HHonors website and changed my preferred airline earning partner. Unfortunately 10 upcoming reservations are probably coded with the old partner, for example my stay last night needed to be changed at the front desk.

    Is there any way to correct reservations already made, without asking each hotel to change the field at the time of stay? And why aren't existing reservations auto-corrected when I make a change at the website?

    Answering my own question, it appears you have to go to each individual reservation prior to the cancellation deadline, and change the partner. After the cancellation deadline, you have to take it up with the property or HHonors....maybe until midnight of the checkout day?

    You can also request this be changed on checkin at the front desk. For what it's worth, I've found point & points to be my best Hilton option.
