[article] If you've been relying on Southwest Airlines to get you to Branson Airport in Missouri, Key West International Airport in Florida or Jackson-Evers International Airport in Mississippi, you'll soon need to make a new plan. The airline announced Dec. 5 that it will cease serving those cities beginning on June 7, 2014. "Unfortunately, the level of local demand no longer allows Southwest to profitably serve these markets," said Bob Jordan, Southwest's executive vice president and chief commercial officer, in a statement. "Southwest takes pride in becoming not only a great choice for air travel in the cities we serve, but we also become a member of the community. These decisions are never easy."
