I just noticed an "Airline Fee Reimbursement" of $158,30 on 2. January.

When I booked an award ticket on Delta that day, the $200 reimbursement was the furthest thing from my mind.

Amex was very good to me last year. In addition to resolving a problem (admittedly caused by Amex) with my MQM bonus and adding a goodwill gesture that was greatly appreciated, the purchase protection (which I haven´t used in years) and the new return protection came in handy.

That certainly works! Good on you.

Amex seems to be flagging gift certificates bought from AA as reimburse-able, too.

Indeed, last year I used $190 of the $200 credit so I´m off to a good start now.

I don't intend on making the same mistake this year, of course.
