    Dear milepoint community,

All of us at Hyatt are deeply saddened by the tragic destruction left by the earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25. To support the immediate care and long-term recovery of the affected communities, Hyatt is donating $100,000 USD. If you would like to support the response efforts, please consider donating your Hyatt Gold Passport® points. Each 5,000 point donation results in a $25 USD gift to Mercy Corps.

To donate your points, please call Hyatt Gold Passport Customer Service toll free at +1.800.228.3360 in the U.S. and Canada or +1.402.593.8615 when outside the U.S. and Canada. To make a cash donation, please visit Hyatt’s Mercy Corps donation page.

We thank you for generously partnering with Hyatt and Mercy Corps to rebuild communities where our associates, guests and neighbors have been affected by this disaster.

    Warm regards,

    Jeff Zidell
    Senior Vice President

Only a sucker would donate 5000 points (good for $100 or more of free room) to give a charity a measly $25 cash!) 'Tis much better to give the cash directly to Mercy Corps or the Red Cross & save the points until one needs a room!

Presumably if you give the 5k points to Hyatt, they'll sell them to someone else for $120 and donate that to Mercy Corps?

    Good Afternoon!

We are truly humbled by the response from our members and their donations for the people of Nepal through their point transfer to Mercy Corps. Hyatt Gold Passport is happy to announce that we will be increasing our donations to Mercy Corps for Nepal from US$25 per 5,000 points to $50 per 5,000 points!

    Thanks
