Does anyone know how many miles it takes to get on Delta's super secret ultra exclusive membership status? Not Diamond...the one meant for the Delta's most important VIP's?

    Welcome to MP!

I could tell you, but then it wouldn't be a secret. :p

Honestly, I didn't think anything existed above Diamond.

According to some old FT posts, Delta used to have an unpublished Executive Partner level which was replaced with the current Diamond level. Evidently, certain customers are considered "High Value Customers" (HVC) and get some special treatment. One example is getting shuttle service in a Porsche when landing at ATL: http://jalopnik.com/high-value-customers/ ... not sure if they're still doing this.

    Hi. Welcome to MP.

They've been running Panameras around on the ground at ATL for a little bit. There have been reports of DMs getting the service.

Though I wasn't part of the program, EP (Executive Partner) we believe is gone.

There is a lengthy discussion on FT about the Porsche perk. At ATL yesterday and I saw one on the tarmac.

I haven't read the FT thread but I assume the porche transfer is for DMs only?

I haven't heard of any PM's getting this service yet. I believe there are only 6 cars at this time in ATL.

Thanks very much! Currently a PM myself... have not received this treatment either at ATL, but they do a pretty good job of keeping me happy... Hopefully I can make it DM by years end and get my ride...

The exe. partner program was closed in 2010.
DL has few elite services in selected airports (ATL, JFK; LGA would have some special services in July). The Porchse is one of them, at ATL. DL is working on a new benefit program above Diamond, that is not really a secret, and some services are tested. It is not even clear if it would be a new medallion level, a special program, or some kind of unpublished package of benefits. Either way, it is still in the works. With DL's IT, it will take some time. As for the kryptonium medallion, it is by invitation only. Other elements seem to be $$$ spend, and/or $$$ value (cost vs. benefit.
As a side note, DL is also testing some non-flight benefits, but those are more from the marketing side- I got inivtations to a broadway show (twice), a world premire of "Eat, Pray, Love", but I never got the opening season baseball tickets (that a fellow of mine got). So, I think they do have some additional 'benefits'. People in MSP area received twice exclusive Chef resturant invitations. I only once got the offer for a car service from the house to the airport (on DL's dime), but that was more than a year ago, on a day that I was not near home, or near the office (so I had to decline). There are rumors (with some basis) that JFK will have a real 'VIP room' (not skyclub) for whoever DL really consideres HVC in T4. I have yet to see/hear of someone getting a positive confirmation on this one.

Supposedly >$60K in annual individual spend and residing in a spoke market or hub other than ATL/DTW.

The MSP dinners were sponsored by AmEx and IIRC they invited everyone who was DM or PM and had a DL AmEx card. The first XXX who responded were able to attend, and apparently this required responding on line within about an hour of the email. Nothing exclusive at all!

Porsche is beginning construction of its new North American hq adjacent to ATL. (Site of the old Ford Hapeville assembly plant.) It would make sense that this partnership between DL and Porsche would continue. Construction of Porsche's hq is expected to be completed in 2013 at the cost of $560 +/- millon, complete with test track and 650 space underground parking deck.

So when a DL (RJ?) pilot misses the runway slightly, instead of landing on a taxiway, the plane will now land on the test track, hopefully not on top of a Porsche.
