Please don't laugh but how do you quote a person's reply in your reply? For example, if someone replies to this question how do I get the system to quote your reply when I reply back? I realize this is a dumb question but I'm a old guy who doesn't know. Thanks in advance for your help and happy travels!

In a person's post, there is a reply link on the bottom right, you should see "#n Like Reply". If you click on that Reply link, it will quote the post.

You can "multi quote" (quote multiple posts) by doing what wolfsatz said, then scroll up and click "reply" on the next one you want to quote, and both will appear in your reply window. You can then edit the quote, highlighting and deleting the extra stuff. This serves two purposes- makes your post cleaner (less extraneous info in there) and focus on the exact part of their post that you want to emphasize and refer to.

Note that multiquoting doesn't work across multiple pages- so, for long threads that extend several pages, you can only multiquote this way for posts on one page. You need to do trickier copy and paste if you move on to another page before submitting your reply. Hope that makes sense...

Ah, but old age, treachery and skill!!! That is the stuff from which durable dictators are made. Alas, here at milepoint we've no dictators.

It's only dumb if you *don't* ask the question, and then leave disgruntled because you couldn't figure it out.
    Welcome aboard!

Don't I know it. But I manage to fight back. (Some friends say I act twice my age, so does that mean I have the benefits of both?)

Oh, thank you for this! I'd been clicking "reply", typing my response, then cutting it, going to the next quote I wanted, clicking reply, pasting, etc. Wondered why there wasn't a "multi quote" option, but didn't realize it was built in!

Old age, treachery, and a well placed bribe can usually get the job done in any game of skill or chance! ;)

I'm somewhere in between, beginning to learn these skills and their importance lol.

I'm sure it's on the cards to be implemented (if possible) at some later. The good news is as Gargoyle pointed out, there is an alternative work around for the time being.
