structures group looked at o2 generators to see if there were any issues and they were all activated. all seemed normal. fracture was about 5x1 feet. panels overlap with 3 rows of rivits. sepertation occured at lower row of rivits. will remove a 8 ro 10 foot section for analysis. cockpit voice recorder is a solid state recorder and has 2hours of data. the flight recorder has 26 hours of data and the incident was recorded on both. the decompression indicent appears to have occred 11 min into the flight. the pilots were going to try and return to phx but upon the cabin crew notifying them of the damage to the aircraft decided to divert to yuma. Last heavy maint on this plane was march 2010. this would have been the last time this joint was look at. they will look at areas adjacent to the area that failed for additional stress cracks.
