IB through MAD (or BCN) should have better availability TATL.

For OneWorld -There is usually space on BA LHR to PHL most days in Club World (I have two J seats end of June) and I've had luck on the US envoy from Paris to PHL if you want to repo there from FRA. There are many direct US flights however usually high points.
Did you look at options via Canada - Vancouver and Toronto? BA flies to both and then just connect from there? good luck

I've found plenty of space on LHR-PHL as well. Also, US has flights VCE-PHL, though that's a bit more out of your way.

Yep..you guys were right........I see space on the LHR-PHL route(s).but it would require an overnighter .....I played with FRA-LHR-YVR also...found space on that on 6-14...but nothing out of YVR -PDX ... Im using AA.com to search for OW flights...should I be using the Qantas site instead?

Depends on which partners you want to cover in the search. AA includes the following:
    airberlin
    Alaska Airlines
    British Airways
    Finnair
    Hawaiian Airlines
    Qantas
    Royal Jordanian Airlines
    US Airways

If you want others you need to search a different site.

I just realized it would've been helpful to put that I'm using US Airways miles for this adventure. Their website sucks at finding availability, cuz they only show US/AA flts currently.
So heres a question for ya: TK is showing on USAir's website as a codeshare partner....can you redeem US miles to book award tickets on TK?

Yes. That partnership may end eventually but it is active today. And, unlike the partnerships with NZ, AV, BR & SQ the end date has not been published.

Note that you cannot mix TK with oneworld on US miles- US will not mix OW partners with non-OW partners.

Also, TK J may be hard to come by.

Also- keep in mind CX flies YVR-JFK-YVR, which makes that a possible connection option.

You are probably finding that oneworld's weakness on the West Coast of the US + summertime domestic availability (almost nil, planes fill up with PAID fares during summer) is a problem. Good luck.
