Flew out of CLT this evening, was taxiing around 8pm. Looked out the window and saw an Allegiant MD-83 moving towards us. I thought this was really strange, since as far as I know, Allegiant doesn't fly to CLT. The plane passed right by us, and it was full of people. A few minutes later on our takeoff roll, I saw it parked at one of the A-gates.

Got to my hotel here, looked at the arrivals list for CLT this evening, and sure enough, there was an Allegiant flight from NAS to CLT:

Was this a one-off, random occurance, like a charter flight? Or was this actually scheduled service that the general public could've purchased a ticket on?

Allegiant does a bunch of charter business, so that would be my guess.
