Not sure if it has been posted but I received this email for a stay 3 get 5000 Hyatt Goldpoints.

"Simply complete three eligible nights at any Hyatt™ hotel or resort worldwide from August 5 to September 30, 2011, and earn 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points – that's enough points for a free night award in a standard room. And remember, there are no blackout dates for redemption stays."

Wonder if the 3 hotel stays for the MegaDo will count? :D

I did not receive this offer. It appears to be targeted.

Next question is...what's the criteria for being chosen?

I got the 3,000 point version. 5,000 is even better! Wonder if there are more versions out there?

It let me register, so hopefully that means this is not a targeted promo..

Looks like I got the "three stays, get bupkis" version. That means at least three versions.

hope there's some sort of fine print with that statement.

    Doubt it.

It's true. 5K is enough for a free night award in a standard room....at a Hyatt Place. Where all the rooms are standard...

I was just able to register for the 5000 points version, despite not having stayed in a Hyatt for close to five years. I was surprised as I had expected it to not even recognize my number.

Not quite true. There are quite a few locations where nice Hyatts are 5k points a night. Not in the US, though.

With this promo, I now wonder if there will be no Free Nights promo until October. I hope it comes out sooner, or even better a double dip opportunity.

I registered but since I didn't receive either offer notice, I'm assuming I won't get the bonus points. Oh well, no change in my hotel plans.... for now.

Per the promotional T&C's, contracted room nights do not qualify for this promo.

So I wonder if the MegaDo room blocks count as contracted?

I didn't receive the email but I was able to register for both. Should have 2-3 nights each week this month so hopefully I am really eligible for one of the promos.

I got the email & signed up but there might be a loophole for those who did not. According to the T&C's: http://www.goldpassport.com/gp/en/p...g02-prd-atg2??wt=pop_up&me02_mbr_src=DSTAY30K
"To receive bonus points you must provide HGP# at reservation/check in, be a preselected member OR be a registered guest physically occupying the room to which you are registered and pay an eligible rate."

I would certainly ask Front Desk for the promo to be applied at any Hyatt once checked in; if denied, send email to HGP. Never hurts to ask, & of course, never take NO from someone not empowered to say YES!

Well, it let me register. But that non-transferable is mighty obvious, isn't it ;)

I suspect the OR is a typo and should be AND. Either that or I don't understand what they mean.

Typo? Probably but as it reads now, one can either be preselected or a registered guest to qualify. Until it is corrected, I would ask them to honor the T&C's as written.

Yeah I got nothing...which irritates me. I registered for the 3k anyway but I am sure it would not give me anything.

    Dear MilePoint Members,

Last week we launched targeted offers to select Hyatt Gold Passport members. We were quickly notified that there was a typo in the terms and conditions. We noticed that FlyerTalk members posted the terms and conditions and wanted to correct the typo for everyone.

In the incorrect copy below, the bold and underlined “or” should have been a comma.

“To receive bonus points, you must provide your Hyatt Gold Passport account number at reservation/check-in, be a preselected member or be a registered guest physically occupying the room to which you are registered and pay an Eligible Rate.”

The correct terms are as follows and will be updated shortly.

“To receive bonus points you must provide your Hyatt Gold Passport account number at reservation/check-in, be a pre-selected member, be a registered guest physically occupying the room to which you are registered and pay an Eligible Rate.”

We appreciate your interest in the offers. We hope your travels are safe and that we have the opportunity to welcome you to a Hyatt hotel soon.

Well for those lucky people who got this, I imagine they could combine with the new crap 3Q promo, and get 10k for every 3 stays from 09/15-09/30.
