When did Starwood properties begin participating with Nor1? Is this just something I've missed? The redacted link below went to a specific page at nor1upgrades.com.

Is this Sheraton specific or also other chains within Starwood?

Appears to be hotel-specific. It was enough for me to cancel my reservation and move to a different SPG property in the same city.

Did you let the property know this?

Wow, that would be awful if it's brand wide or even program wide.
Which property did you switch to?

I actually must be in the minority in that I don't mind Nor1. What is it that makes this awful?

Requesting/suggesting to those for whom complimentary upgrades are an (as-available) benefit that they should instead buy them.

Sheraton downtown St. Louis on a great rate... includes parking and make a charitable donation to a housing group... for less than the prepaid rate.

At least with Hilton and Nor1- if you are available for a complimentary upgrade it lists it as such and then gives other options if you want a greater upgrade (i.e. suite, specialty suite, etc).

With Starwood, that's nowhere near correct. Hilton? That's a large reason they're not my top program anymore.
