Looks like they wait until they get five reviews before they post them to the web site.

I am curious to see the reviews on the Four Points in Miami :)

This could get interesting for some properties.

There is the option (box-tick) to be notified when your review gets "published".

This may take some time. It looks like this feature has only recently been "added", and reviews don't post until the hotel has at least five. Should be interesting to see how this goes....

I just remember Accor which offers this feature too, but the difference is they link to Tripadvisor and show the hotels TA rating on each hotel on their website.

Look forward to see at Starwood a direct tool to read published reviews about their hotels. We will really see how this goes, indeed!;)

Hotels will post reviews only after they receive at least five. Each review takes a while for them to check details etc so I dont think we will see any for at least another week or so (and even then possibly only for the hotels frequented by visitors that usually write reviews)

So, can I post a review when I stayed in a hotel couple years back? How do they verify that?

You need to log in to your SPG account before posting the review - that enables them to verify that you did indeed stay at the hotel.

I believe that the T&C's say no stay earlier than 18 months ago, so probably not.

Has anybody spotted any hotels that are showing reviews yet? I've written a couple but none of the hotels have reached the required five reviews yet.

Also wonder if the hotels get a sneak peek? I made casual mention of a hotel that didn't deem me worthy of newspaper delivery - something I haven't mentioned elsewhere - and when I checked in again today one of the first questions was what newspaper I would like delivered?

There are some bugs in the system - like getting a message that my review couldn't be posted (not clear why), but it was:rolleyes: then got some very conflicting reason about why it wasn't published when I emailed but it was published - very confusing.

I posted a bunch of reviews for hotels I stayed at in October and November. 2 unpleasant stays out of 5. October was not a good month for me.

Is there a minimum number of reviews that need to be submitted before all the reviews post online? Or did i imagine that?
