Wow! What a change, but they're still protecting their Suites from award redemptions.

Would it be correct to assume that the bargain SQ-only IFC RTW fares are not the proper fare code for this offer?

AFAIK, SQ-only-RTW is booked in A class. Thus, not a proper fare code for this F and P fare levels.

It will be interesting to see if there is an F RTW supplement that can be paid on a STAR ticket for the A380 legs- might be the way to have a semi-affordable trip in the Suites!

Agree A class would be good, but will see what they offer in P on Monday!

Glad to hear that the news was in reality now. With the F and P fares, now the Suites is more attractive, even though I am not fond of it. But at least after seeing the Suites on EK through posted pictures on Facebook by a friend, it's no doubt that the Suites (without shower facility) are way more attractive than EK. :)

Was wondering the same thing. It seems it would be inevitable perhaps, given that more and more routes will be converted to A380 service, would make it almost impossible to book these RTW fares in First (Suites).

What SQ has been doing on the RTW FC fares and FC award tickets is to put you in business class rather than suites on the A380. Is this wonderful enough to be worth a FC (cheap) fare or FC award miles?

Well.... even though SQ's J seats on the A380 are probably as big or bigger than most others F, it still is J and if one is paying for F (albeit discounted) one should fly in F. Since the suites are still unique, special and somewhat a class above, I would be willing to pay a surcharge such as they charge for A380 J for RTW J fares. Not sure why they don't allow this, especially as I mentioned above, that there are increasing routes where it will be A380 only.

While it's not yet treated as regular f, it is a move in the right direction!
