Starting 30 October 2011, SQ will add frequency to some destinations in Southeast Asia, North Asia and other market. For Singapore - Bangkok, SQ will fly five times a day instead of the current four times daily. Between Singapore to Tokyo-Haneda, the frequency will go back to twice a day. With the recovery of the demand for travel between Singapore and Japan, SQ will also increase the flights to Osaka from ten a week to eleven. The frequency will be doubled between Singapore - Guangzhou, from seven a week to 14 a week. Between Singapore and Mumbai, the current 14 flights a week will increase to 17 flights total. Ahmedabad, which currently is served twice a week, will increase to three. Subject to approval, the frequency between Singapore and Istanbul will increase from 4x a week to six times a week. Three of these flights will continue to Athens. For Cape Town, the frequency will increase to four from three currently, via Johannesburg.
