Just checked in for the first leg of my trip. I am connecting in SIN and continuing on SIN-BOM in F. My connecting F BP says "you are invited to the first class SKL" does this mean no TPR?
If you are going to departing SIN in F on SQ then go to the lounge and ask to be admitted to TPR, don't know why you wouldn't be?
At the beginning IIRC TPR was limited to full paid FC and Suites. Recently they seem to have been allowing award travelers too. However, recently also they seem to have been waiting for a customer request rather than offering TPR. So asking always seems to work so long as you have that F BP.
I wouldn't worry. Half the time I arrive with BP that does not mention TPR (whether BP is issued by SQ or another airline) - if I'm eligible for access I am escorted in to TPR without asking.
Perhaps it's due to the fact that the flight to Mumbai will depart from T2. Hence, no TPR in T2. But of course, if the OP goes to SKL at T3, I would assume he/she would be directed to the TPR and would be reminded that his/her flight would depart from T2.
In the lounge now, I think this was probably the reasoning. Didn't have any problems getting in just kept walking further and further back in the SKL and flashing my BP and having people remind me that my flight is leaving from T2. Very impressed so far with the lounge. Had a much needed shower with awesome water pressure. Now if they only had a car to take me to my plane instead of having to trek around to the other side of the airport it would be perfect.
Second update: Well, on the way back the BP said the same thing despite it being printed in the SIN and the flight leaving from T3 this time. Again no problems being admitted to TPR, so water under the bridge. I do wish they had a few more snacky items out to munch on in TPR. I realize I could go out to the F lounge or request pretty much anything, but thats what I feel like it was missing the most (along with some sort of escort to the gates). A fun experience and good flights all around though.
