Spirit FA in trouble for preflight engine photo

    This is a very common picture taken by flight crew. I once took a picture of the grounds crew in a WN engine and sent it to them for inclusion in their magazine (interestingly entitled Spirit magazine), but they declined to do so, evidently missing the humor in the photo.
    It does sound like the passenger who took the photo and sent it to the news station is a jerk!

    I think the problem was that she did it during pre-check/boarding. That isn't considered an appropriate time for playing around.

    And yes, I know that "Speed Tape" is specifically designed for such repairs on aircraft.
