Same boat too but it's nice to have extra privileges.

So does this mean as an SPG Plat, my UG clears the same way/same time as someone who is an AS MVPG does?

VERY interesting. Certainly not enough to get me to switch from UA, but definitely bumps Delta up a few spots in my backup list.

Could be a nice addition. Cautious about it being a step toward fare-based earnings and would like to see some more benefits for delta elites as well.

Our lips are sealed, but as is my stance on any SPG rumors and speculation, I would encourage all to stay close to SPG. Stay tuned...

+1, otherwise I honestly would not have considered DL in my travel options!

So, does it mean that if you do a "crossover" you will only earn Starpoints instead of DL miles or will you earn both?

    Both apparently.

But I wonder if that will eventually change if they go full-revenue-based. You might get to choose between 1000 star points or 1000 delta "miles" for your $1000 ticket.

It would be nice to see a confirmation on that. I read the whole article and it's not that clear. I might call SPG to find out.

If this is the choice, 1000 Starpoints are worth a lot more than 1000 SkyMiles for most people, although of course this can depend a lot on exactly how you (can) use those points or miles.

Assuming 20k a year 20k starpoints turns in to 25k SkyMiles so almost everyone would take that.
