I'm transiting from SQ to a LCC in SIN tomorrow -- meaning no lounge access. I do have a Priority Pass, however. I know about the Green Market, Rainforest, and other SATS lounges that I have access to, but are there any of these which are absolutely worth a visit, either for food or for atmosphere?

It's not great, but I like the Priority Pass lounge in T1, IIRC SkyView. It's on the mezzanine level and some of the couches almost feel like one is sitting on a balcony. Showers and alcohol (at least wine) are free.

The alternative is simply to explore the airport: the sunflower garden, koi ponds, butterfly cage, movie theater. All are free and open 24/7. For a nominal price you can use the pool (which closes around 11 pm); the fee includes towels, showers, and a nonalcoholic beverage. Finally there's window shopping or real shopping.

Depending on which LCC you are transferring to, you might need to go to the Budget Terminal to catch your next LCC flight. There is no lounge at Budget Terminal.

The SkyView lounge is very decent and it has tarmac views, something that all SQ lounges (except TPR) is missing in SIN.

SKL 2 is kind of cool in a retro way- reminds me of a disco ~ 1978.

It somehow seems to me that the difference between the FC and J/C sides in the SKL in T2 (pre-renovation) are less noticeable than the differences in T3, where the J/C side IME is crowded and has smaller chairs packed more tightly and uncomfortably close together.

I wouldn't know, I wasn't born yet in 1978 :p. Seriously though, I thought it was a very nice place when it first opened after the last round of renovation (1999 was it?) but IMHO the current renovation is very much needed.
