    25,000 MILES
Aeroplan is dedicating all the seats on four Toronto-Fort Lauderdale flights for the use of its four-million-plus Aeroplan members next month. Flights depart Tuesdays in March with a return flight one week later.
These special flights will have no restrictions on the number of tickets per person and the flights will include free bar and snack service, and additional baggage allowance in economy class. In addition, members will be given special hotel, parking and car-rental offers for use in Fort Lauderdale. Economy-class tickets are available by redeeming 25,000 miles per flight. Executive-class tickets are sold out. For more information or to book, call 1-877-341-9730.

Having an entire flight available for redemption- very creative and a nice plus for customers.

OK, so we've had our first ever 100% redemption flight and the world is still here.

So what do you guys think would be the impact of easing the restrictions on I space? Should AC allow more seats per flight for redemption? Should the J cabin be somewhat restricted but allow use of eCerts to upgrade? Should Y be wide open for redemption? Or should things stay the way they are?

Personally I wouldn't be opposed to slightly increasing the redemption rates but the ticket ends up coming out of the Latitude bucket. So for example, a Y ticket to Europe would cost 80K points instead of 60K. This enables frequent flyers to use eCerts at a somewhat more palatable rate, or to have the flexibility that redemptions sometimes lack.

  13. How does a reward get involved with an ecert? and then what would AC charge for J seats if "I" is sold at J prices?
Your post makes very little sense. .
