I'm doing some research for a Singaporean company on special needs travel.

Lots of stuff out there but mostly from tour operators geared for disabled persons or equipment manufacturers.

Are there any resources for discussion, etc. out there? I seem to remember FT having a section for this purpose... no?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, FT has a small forum on this. There's a UA office devoted to helping people make medical arrangements for flying UA. There's also USA law and an office within a federal agency (DOT?) charged with making air travel (and train, etc?) accessible and enforcing regulations in this area. I suspect that many hotels are required to have a few accessible rooms according to certain requirements. There are whole books on this subject. You could also contact nonprofits and other organizations devoted to particular disabilities such as blind, MS, paraplegics, amputees, etc.
