    More than 100 planes were pulled out of service overnight when Southwest Airlines discovered it had failed to perform mandated inspections on a backup rudder control system. Sure, it was an early-window inspection of a backup system, but that's still the sort of thing the company probably should have been doing given that it told the FAA the inspections were happening.
