    I was on a flight once where the cockpit window also cracked. After landing the fix took almost 6 hours. I guess it's a bit more complex to change out a cockpit window than your bedroom window. :)

    I flew in the Navy. Had the windshield of my jet crack in front of me. Uncomfortable feeling wondering if/when it was going to come in on me. Didn't help that we were IFR with a 200-1/2 approach. Glad the SW jet got back to TPA okay.

    Can you imagine the panic if the cracked window would have been in the main cabin?
