Southwest Airlines Co. is suing to shut down a website that provides Southwest customers with first-in-line boarding position when check-in becomes available 24 hours before a flight.

Southwest is one of the three largest airlines at Denver International Airport by passenger volume, and has been growing rapidly at DIA in recent years.

The Dallas-based carrier (NYSE: LUV) filed suit against the Phoenix-based company in U.S. District Court in Dallas. The airline is seeking an injunction to stop the website and unspecified relief for damages.

This service obviously didn't learn from BoardFirst. I used to love them but them SWA shut them down with a cease and desist.

I wonder what WN's options would be if this service was offered by a company based abroad. Similar question for the AwardWallet-type services and their AA situation.
