Not surprising at all, given this week's devaluation of AA's loyalty program, bringing it to 3rd place behind UA and DL. WN is the sole airline program where there are no blackout dates or unavailable seats for rewards redemption.

After I pretty much stopped flying United (March 2012), I started flying Southwest. Considering UA upgrades were getting difficult to come by, what was the point of staying there (except award redemptions on Star).
Southwest isn't half bad. I check in at 24 hours. I usually get a decent boarding pass number. I usually sit in the first row (sometimes middle seat) because it has extra legroom. It's like getting E+ on UA.
