2014 was a big year for ales and lagers--in the air--and it's only getting better in 2015 as Southwest Airlines has already added two new beers!

Now Southwest flights will stock Leinenkugel's seasonal craft selections, along with Dos Equis Lager Especial . We recognize that these aren’t necessarily the microbrews you might be looking for, but we’ve never frowned upon a more varied selection.

It’ll be $5 for either of these new options, or you can you use one of your Rapid Rewards drink coupons. The options from Leinenkugel will change with the seasons, so expect Snowdrift Vanilla Porter if you’re flying anytime soon. Other options will include Summer Shandy during warmer weather, and Oktoberfest in the fall.

    Thanks for posting, sobore! :)

FWIW, earlier this year on a WN flight, I had my first Fat Tire beer, from New Belgium brewery. It's a very well-crafted beer, and also a must-try! See:

Can count those on much less than one hand these days! :( WN isn't perfect (as their on-time record shows), but I've found them to be more responsive than any other airline when it comes to helping to fix SNAFUs with my flights over the last 10 years. Southwest is my in-US airline carrier of choice, with certain exceptions.
