Think of Going to Cape Town at Cape Grace and then to singita?

How does one get through safely through JoBerg ?
My mum recons we will need a group tour?
    any good operators ?
    And places to eat?
Any other lodges rather than singita?

I would think you could get a private transfer setup? In joberg we stayed at the Hilton and there were various uniformed chauffeurs waiting for guests in front of the hotel. That could be setup by the lodge or an African travel agent or even American Express travel.

We did not feel uncomfortable any time, except when I went to a dialysis center that didn't have Wi-Fi and my wife worried about me since I could not check in for the 4 hours. Then later when the center secretary emailed her to tell her I'm running late (because she didn't know how to process a credit card) my wife thought it was sketchy and that I'd been kidnaped! All the more reason to get a local SIM card so I don't need to rely on center WiFi...

But otherwise we got a transfer to our lodge from the lodge and realized it would have been find to drive on our own. We took the local commuters train out to see the penguins in cape town and although the train was beat up we felt safe.

We took the Gautrain train from the airport to Sandton in Jberg and drug our luggage around to the Hilton. That's a very upscale area and we felt safe.

Walking around Cape Town was fine.

So we felt safe, but like all countries there is opportunity for something random to happen.

Not attached, it might be best to attach a screenshot rather than an excel file. Many people will be hesitant to download random excel files which may have malware.

I don't see a Cape Of Good Hope and/or visit to the Boulders Penguin Colony? At a minimum you should see the Penguins.

Groot Constantia Winery can be reached on the Red Bus (blue route I believe) as can be table mountain. That loop takes about an hour to go around.

If you want a good full day wine tour I recommend Wine Flies, they only do wine tours and you visit five wineries with some treat (meat, cheese, chocolate) to accompany the tasting at most wineries. Book in advance, they will pick you up at your hotel, its a min-bus with about 12 people. This tour was MUCH better than the other brand we used in 2014. Its not five star but is done very well.

Table mountain has a sunset special where its half priced after 6 and gets you up there at the best time - sunset. Book in advance online on the day you are going. Keep in mind you can only go up if there are not clouds covering Table Mountain so you can not guarantee a visit on specific days.

Also I recommend Chefs Warehouse and Canteen for lunch doing the TAPAS FOR 2, we did it both visits (this and 2014) for lunch. The food is good, a few different raw fish dishes included, and this time is had raw beef that we didn't really eat, but its a nice causal pre-fix meal done well. No reservations but we arrived just before opening for lunch at noon on a Friday and got a seat fine.
