Ok, I admit it again...just like the Hyatt manager turning on the heatlamps...I laughed. Sue me.

Where did this kid get the booze? Was he served on the flight or showed up loaded?

I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Does JetBlue not know what the drinking age is?

An incident like this after the FA either serves any alcohol at all to an 18-year-old or serves anyone eight drinks in a flight of this length should land the FA in big trouble, at least with JetBlue if not with the law.

I suppose we should be grateful the FA didn't serve the pilot 8 drinks.

I think the FA should be grateful that he/she wasn't arrested upon landing.

Disgusting! Although I am usually non-violent, I hope the father got a couple of shots in on this creep!

I just read several of the press reports, and all of them quote or paraphrase the peer peeer pee-er micturator as simply saying that he had 8 drinks, not that the FA served him 8 (or any). Eight minis would certainly fit in a 1 liter baggie if you tried to get them through security the honest way.

USA carriers forbid drinking any alcohol on board that wasn't served by the airline, although he could have just not been caught. Given the behavior of TSA in trying to find other crimes, I'm surprised he wouldn't have been arrested at security for being a minor transporting alcohol to another state.

The perp is 6'4", 195 lbs., so even if the TSA screeners saw the booze, he may well have appeared to be of age. Since you present ID at the start of the security area, odds are there wasn't anybody in a position to observe both the perp's actual DOB and his possession.

I'm also curious what kind of compensation one would get after being peed on...especially if the 18 year old had been served alcohol on the flight.

Free JetBlue for life as long as your sign away your rights to sue? Not that that child will ever want to fly again, let alone on JetBlue.

If he had consumed all the booze he brought along (if indeed he did bring it with him) then he's no longer transporting alcohol. We should be dealing with the detestable act, regardless of whether he was sober or soused.

Good point. Maybe that's why he was so drunk--he was trying to avoid violating some (other) law.
