Same size the ones at the 4P Bangkok and bigger than the standard rooms at the Conrad Bangkok.

Just visited this property today with Mrs. Kalboz. We took the BTS from Phloenchit to Asok and then on the MRT to Lumphini. The hotel is just across the street from the Lumphini MRT station at the intersection of Sathorn which places it very close to the Sukhothai and Banyan Tree hotels. They have two lobbies as in the case with the St. Regis and the WGS and we were escorted by a beautiful staffer from the ground floor lobby to the ninth floor reception/front desk area. There, another beautiful FD staffer (Khun Penny) was kind enough to take us up to see three types of rooms, corner or Jr. "suite", the executive lounge, and the roof top bar and restaurant. As I mentioned here, this hotel celebrates earth and its multi-elements: Fire (public areas), Metal, Wood, Earth, and Water (which is not opened to the public yet).

All rooms were stunningly beautiful, well appointed, and full of light. All rooms come with an Apple widescreen TV, illy Expresso maker with supplies, iPod dock station, and other modern gadgets. Rooms we saw offered ample room and were spacious enough for a single person or a couple.

At the conculsion of our tour, the duty manager (Khun Gee) came out and welcomed us to the hotel, kindly offered us refreshments, and spend some time with us explaining the various aspects of this hotel and the culture behind it. She further explained the Accor membership benefits and upgrade policy for the Le Club Platinums. Very nice, hospitable, and kind staff (not to mention how beautiful they are) during our successful tour of this awesome property and we are looking forward to stay here on our next trip in January. What is the hotel's upgrade policy with respect to Accor Platinums? Do they include lounge access?
    Thanks

AFAIK, but YMMV, Accor Platinums will get an upgrade to next room category but not to a club room. But if you book a club room, you might get upgraded to a suite depending on availability including club lounge benefits. We saw the food offerings for the tea-time as it was around 3:00 PM and they were substantial and of high quality.

That second shot with the woman looks like a professional photo that the hotel would post... good job.

That second photo you referring to of the club lounge entrance is a professional photo. The hotel sent me a huge portfolio of some 60+ professionally done photos of the hotel and its facilities. See them here at the back end of this set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalboz/sets/72157631767707929/

    Thank you :)

Hopefully you get the Water Element Suite ... I was told that they are completed but not yet ready for occupancy as they are doing the finishing touches.

I am checking out from this hotel in a few minutes after spending 2 nights. As a Plat, I was upgraded to a Club room and was assigned Water element as per my earlier request. I did a tour of the the other 3 elements and was very happy I chose Water. Biggest problem with the room is it gets really dark with not adequate lighting. There is no desk lamp or overhead lighting over the work area and other light fixtures are either fully illuminated floor lamp or mini spot lights. Platinum amenity is a bottle of red wine, 3 cups of fruits, a chocolate lollipop and some sweets. Nice! Park views are amazing. Bathroom amenities are not Hermes like Sofitel Sukhumvit's, but rather they're local brand (ginger scented) on a ceramic container.

Breakfast is good, Club Lounge nice. Service is well-meaning with a few misses. Location is not bad, but hotel is so new, most cabbies don't know where it is. There are 2 entrances to the hotel - from Sathorn or from Rama IV (?)

Finished my stay a couple of weeks ago and must say that I enjoyed the hotel. Stayed two nights in a Metal So Lofty suite and two nights in a Water So Lofty suite for a total of four nights.

Will write a more thorough review later, meanwhile but please enjoy my video of the So Lofty Water teamed suite:

    Cheers

Great video! You had a desk lamp! My room didn't, but I suspect it was an isolated case. I really like the fighting fish - cool touch!
