None of them were done by our household. Wish I had those 19mil points though.

    Mind-boggling is right!

My first response was "Whoa! Someone must have been living in hotels in the past year!"

My thought is that those may be for corporate accounts representing many people, or someone who books regular conferences and is getting a lot of points for other people's travel.

And you can guarantee they weren't staying in the cheapest room at the cheapest locale.

:) I had to do a quick calculation as to how many credit card churns that would be! ;)

I need to become a travel manager or convention organizer, but then again, I don't want to end up like the guy who got points for putting the stadium sound system on his credit card!

The stat that blew my mind when I read the email is the 19+million points earned. I wonder if that is actual earned points or from the SPG AMEX too?

The first two numbers seemed surprisingly low.

Sorry, had to run off for some work (hate when it gets in the way of my MP postings! :D), but the Finance Director of LA County Coliseum charged some rather large expenses onto his personal credit card. There was a thread posted by tarheelblue here with the original news article link here. I suspect he may be seeking new employment elsewhere, as they say!

Was it the county or just the stadium authority?

I am sure he's going to ride out his paid medical leave as long as humanly possible. Wonder if he's paying his own salary with his credit card. But all this is completely off-topic as he used a VISA card ;)

I am surprised that no one visited more than 22 countries.

Imagine that they're only counting countries which included a SPG stay as "visits". That probably narrows the field somewhat.

Wonder if the Most Nights Redeemed was done with the Most Starpoints Redeemed ??

I sure hope not. That would be an average spend of 119,362 points per night!

But if the "Most Starpoints Redeemed" were mostly converted to airline miles, how many days did it take to convert them all?

I wonder how many countries have SPG properties? 22 still seems relatively easy to surpass.
